About this lesson

Do what only you can do. Give away the rest. The helper will do the job about eighty percent as well. Accept the B+, write what done looks like in three bullets, and agree on pay before anyone starts.

What you’ll learn

  • Hand off one job with a written spec of what done looks like.
  • Agree on pay in writing before work starts, even with friends.
  • When a job is botched, ask what to add to the instructions next time.
  • Hire for what you cannot do. Two people just like you is not a team.
