About this lesson

Complaints are clues. Every product in your house started as somebody's bad afternoon. Most people complain and stop. Builders finish the sentence: somebody should fix that, and maybe it could be me.

What you’ll learn

  • Annoyance is the first step of invention.
  • Write down who has the problem, not just what bugs you.
  • Workarounds in the wild are proof people would pay for a real fix.
  • The best problems are frequent, painful, and already paid for badly.
