Talking About Money as a Family

Age-appropriate financial transparency brings children into the conversation early enough to matter, without burdening them before they’re ready.

Ages9–1213–1718–25Runtime to be confirmed

About this lesson

You planned the birds-and-bees talk. Money, which they will handle every day of adult life, usually has no plan. Silence does not protect them. The fix is climate, not one talk: narrate ordinary decisions, declare questions legal, and bring teens inside one real weighing per season.

What you’ll learn

  • Money talk is a climate, not a talk.
  • Talk when nothing is wrong.
  • Questions are always allowed. Privacy can still be explained.
  • Share reasoning freely. Balances can wait.
